OUR CHOCOLATE
NATURAL
RAW
MATERIALS
Really good chocolate needs really good ingredients. That is why we take responsibility for our supply chains and are very demanding when it comes to the quality of our raw materials. We only use natural ingredients and we are convinced that the best quality can only be achieved if the conditions for people and nature are right. That is why we work continuously with our partners to make positive changes along the supply chain. This applies from the cultivation of the raw materials to the production of the chocolate.
for the best chocolate
Cocoa is the most important ingredient in our chocolate, which is why it needs to meet our high quality standards. We are firmly of the opinion that we can only source really good cocoa if the people who grow it and the environment in which it is grown are doing well.
our delicious passion
Hazelnuts play a key role in many of our most popular varieties. We trace their origin back to the processor in the country of origin and work closely with our suppliers to implement clear sustainability criteria. In order to exert even more influence on the quality of our hazelnuts, we are now developing our own hazelnut farm in the south of France.
your pleasure is our responsbility
No milk means no milk chocolate. We source our milk powder from long-standing partners in Germany and Ireland, so we know exactly where it comes from. It meets our highest quality standards. Unfortunately, there is no universal sustainability standard for
milk in Germany. Together with the Thünen Institute, we have therefore worked on the QM sustainability module in order to create the basis for a sustainability standard. Our aim is for all our partners to commit to this standard.
as much as necessary,
as little as possible
We only use palm fat for selected varieties and only in fillings, i.e. not in the actual chocolate mass. The vegetable palm fat offers many sensory benefits, for example the fact that the chocolate only melts in the mouth when eaten. We also source our palm fat within the
scope of long-term partnerships and it is fully traceable (segregated) and RSPO-certified. This also means that we contribute to protecting the rainforests and preserving biodiversity.
